Attention wheelchair racers or potential wheelchair racers! We are looking for wheelchair racers of any level from beginner to seasoned veterans that would like to race in the Dallas White Rock Marathon on December 13th 2009. We know that this is a lot of advanced notice, but as you may or may not know it takes a fair amount of training to be able to complete a marathon. If you are already out there training in a racing chair or if you are thinking about getting into it this would be the perfect opportunity for you to do a local event and let your family come out and cheer you on. You can read all about the race at www.runtherock.com. If you have any general questions about the race or if have questions about wheelchair racing feel free to contact Justin Meaders at justin@runtherock.com. Justin is the wheelchair division coordinator and he will have a limited number of complimentary entries, so if you are interested act fast! If you don't feel like you will be ready for a full marathon (26.2 miles) the race will also be offering a half marathon (13.1 miles) so get out there and get pushing. Also the wheelchair division for the event is defined as push rim wheelchairs only. No hand cycles allowed. Are you up for the challenge? Let’s see if you have what it takes!

I would love to compete, but I am still looking for a racing chair. If you know where I can get a good used one, I would love to hear about it. Thanks
