The first RISE Photography activity of the year was be held in conjunction with RISE Handcyling on Sunday, April 27th, 12-3pm.

Campion Trails is a beautiful and accessible venue to take some great nature pictures.

Lisa Golem, RISE Photography Director, recently passed on February 18, 2008. Her husband Scott and mother Beverly are carrying on her mission. Scott has extensive photography experience and has adaptive equipment that quadriplegics can use to take great pictures.

In Loving Memory - Lisa Golem 1961-2008

Lisa Golem/RISE Photography Director and a personal friend of our CEO/Paul Gray, deceased on Monday, February 18, 2008.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to her family and friends.

Dearest friends and family......

We lost Lisa on Feb 18 of complications from pneumonia. She was born Mar. 4, l961. Survivors, loving husband, Scott, mother Beverley Brady, grandmother, Dorothy Twombley, brother and sister in law, Dale and Cindy Brady and uncle Larry Twombley. Lisa had her MA from the University of Columbia MO in psychology and had her LPC in counseling. She received the SAVVY AWARD for outstanding volunteering and also did her internship at Parkland Hospital in Dallas. She worked at Kessler Inst. in NJ for five years on a grant doing research and also counseling. She also worked at the VA in Dallas. She was on the Board of REACH and was active with RISE ADVENTURES. A memorial will be held at First United Methodist Church on Saturday March 1, 2008 at 2PM at 505 W. Marvin Ave., Waxahachie, TX 75165. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made to SCOTTISH RITE HOSPITAL at 2222 Welborn St. Dallas, TX 75219 in Lisa's name including the address of 2640 Sunset Strip, Red Oak, TX 75154. (Development Dept.). I know that she will be missed by many, many people. Pictures below of our beautiful girl.
